ABOUT US
Civil society organizations in Mexico, the United States and other countries have decided to start a signature campaign with the end goal of sending a letter to President Barack Obama. In it, we ask him to stop the trafficking of weapons between the U.S. and Mexico. In Mexico, the initiative is coordinated by Alianza Cívica and supported by other groups as part of the Movement for Peace, which was started on May 8. In the United States, Global Exchange and the Washington Office on Latin America, among others, are participating.
The text and signatures will be presented to the government of the United States. The organizations that join the initiative will be included at the end of the text.
